So God created man in His own image…Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:27, 31

God created everything in the universe and it was all good. Yet, after He created man, scripture records it was very good. Then in the book of Isaiah God refers to …everyone called by My name and created for My glory.

Question: If man is very good and created for God’s glory, what is He withholding from you?

Answer: No good thing does He withhold from you because you walk uprightly.

It is not in God’s nature to withhold His goodness from His children. 2009 is the year of the Holy Ghost and of God’s manifested presence. This means God has already released His goodness over your life. You run into problems when you refuse to put yourself in position to receive God’s goodness. You position yourself by the way you prepare for the blessing.

Preparation is not as difficult as we have made it out to be. If you are expecting a new car, while you are thanking God for it, clean out your garage. If you are expecting a new house, while you are praising God for it, clean up the old one and get rid of the junk that can’t go in the new one. If you are expecting your health to improve, while you are giving honor to God for it, start eating better and exercising.

This is the time for mature saints to put themselves in position to receive what God has already released to them. James 2:18, Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works

Working in preparation to receive God’s manifested goodness activates your faith. Jesus said, “Therefore, I tell you, all things you pray and ask for—believe that you have received them, and you will have them.” When you believe that you have something you act like it is already there. Don’t wait until after you see it; prepare for it now. This will put you in position to receive it. Now ask yourself out loud: What have I put myself in position to receive from God?

Jeremiah 33:3 – Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and wondrous things you do not know.

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you—[this is] the LORD’s declaration—plans for [your] welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
